Description

It's time to fire up those proton packs and ask that famous question one more time? Who you gonna call?! That's right, the Ghostbusters are back for a 2021 reboot and the classic ghost-hunting Cadillac, Ecto-1 has been given the LEGO Creator Expert treatment with this amazing LEGO set.

The Light My Bricks design team went straight to the source for the inspiration behind this project! Featuring 42 individual LEDs, including brand new yellow Bit Lights to perfectly match those fog lights, as well as a custom developed sequence board to produce the authentic flashing siren effect, so you know Ecto-1 means business! To match the level of detail LEGO have poured into this set, this light kit comes with the  Light My Bricks sound kit with remote. We can hear those sirens blaring now! Program your own exciting sound effects (mp3 format) onto the included micro SD memory card, or play the existing sound files which have been pre-loaded.

Light My Bricks LEGO? Lighting Kits provide an easy way for LEGO? fans to customize their models using LED lights. With detailed, step-by-step instructions, anyone can light up their LEGO? set.

IMPORTANT NOTE

We recommend lighting this kit by a USB Power Bank or USB Wall Adaptor (to connect to a mains outlet), which is NOT included in this kit. If you do not have a USB Power Bank or USB Wall Adaptor, you can purchase them from our Powering section.

Perfect nostalgia

I've don't often buy a kit, I prefer to use components to make my own lighting, but for this set the kit was absolute perfection.

There were no additional lighting effects just for the sake of it, everything included replicated a feature from the car seen in the first and third movies.

The rotating beacons on the roof and the strobes on the grill are stunning - they take me right back to the original movie, and the addition of the siren wah-wah via the sound module makes this a perfect recreation of the original car.

(You'll notice in the video that I left off the rust stickers Lego provide, in order to give it more of the '84 car look)

Didnt block the regular movements!

When I first built this without the lights I was thrilled how fun the build was and I was honestly concerned the wires for lighting it would inhibit normal movement. Designers did a great job planning it where the wires avoid the moving parts for the most part! Plus the audio was awesome.
